class Crystal::Repl::LocalVarsGatherer

Overview

Gathers known local variables during a pry session. For example, if we have code like this:

a = 1

foo do |x|
  b = 2
  debugger

  c = 3
end

d = 4

When semantic analysis runs for the entire code, there will be local variables for a, b, c, d and x. However, at the point of debugger only a, b and x have a real, usable value (c and d will still be in the stack memory, but have garbage values.)

This class is responsible for figuring out which local variables can be accessed when a debugger call is issued: essentially, any variable that is assigned or created before the debugger call.
